I knew it would be cold, yet this was absolutely frigid.
It was January of 2022, less than a year since &lt;a href="https://jacobemerick.com/blog/powers-garden-of-the-galiuros/"&gt;my last visit to the Galiuro Wilderness&lt;/a&gt;, where I had been surprised at the relatively warm (and very dry) land out here.
Today there was no warmth outside of the small, quickly dissipating bubble of my car.
Moving with frenetic speed I donned a few extra layers, then shouldered my winter-heavy pack, and started trudging up the road.&lt;/p&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
